Don't let these angelic faces kid you!
Between church and lunch, these guys hammed it up!
Hear no evil. Speak no evil. See no evil.
It's a trick.
Trick #1. Rodney
Trick #2. Chris
Trick #3. Jeremiah
See the pain in Chris' face.
Enter the little sister. Isn't this every young girl's dream?
To play with big brother and his friends?
Uh-huh! she says. This is fun!
Angels playing leap frog...in dress clothes, no less...
...adding some gymnastic tricks...
...and getting a little artistic...
...and enter little sister...again...
Come on Chris! You can do it!
And little sister gets the lift. That was special.
After a fantastic lunch of Mexican chicken and banana pudding with Grandmother
and before hitting the books, we opted for a calm game of 'spoons.'
Those young spoon players took out us old women first.
We got no respect.
Then it got a bit rowdy.
A challenge for the last spoon ensued. The angels are going at it.
It went to the floor.
Oh, it got really dirty.
Fighting tooth and nail...for a spoon!
Victory at last! for a spoon...
Look at the excitement! You'da thunk it was a gold medal.
But, alas, it was only for two kisses from old women who lost out early.
Somehow, I don't think the angel minded. A kiss is a kiss.
Just don't mention it to his girlfriend.
I was his first girlfriend.
Just sayin'.
See y'all in the funny papers.
These pictures are so cute! Doncha just love it when the grown-up kids are playing and scuffling and acting like big goofs! I do! Hayley likes to join in the melee with her brothers, too. Always has, AND hang out with all the guys when they were at our house (which was all the time) These are great pics - specially the last one! You got some goodlookin kids! M. looks very grown up, and so pretty! Jere is purty cute, too! Who spilt their milk?
ReplyDeleteHey, we aren't gonna play that game at Jefferson are we? It looks like fun for them but a recipe for paramedics. I know they got their 'win or die' gene somewhere! What fun to still have kids at home to enjoy, and their friends. The house sure gets quiet when they grow up and go away.
ReplyDeleteYou have quite a family.
Debbie
I love the verve and vitality of youth! It's contagious...isn't it?
ReplyDeleteGreat shots of great kids.
That sounds like a GREAT way to spend the afternoon. I love the shots you were able to capture with the gymnastics. In my experience spoons always starts a little calm and then the wrestling, tugging, and strength of wills begins.
ReplyDeleteHey Gib - there's a link on that post to my etsy. It's not much yet. I've got alot of pictures to post - hopefully I'll get that done here in the next day or two! Thanks for asking tho.
ReplyDeleteI had to look at all these pictures again - they're so FUN. My husband was wrestling with Adam awhile back in the living room floor at my inlaw's house. I kept telling them they better cool it. Well, you know somethings going to happen. They knocked an armchair over and it went through a window, busted out the glass and nearly went through to the patio! I was livid. But the inlaws just said -"Awwww. They're just making us some great memories." Will I say stuff like that for my grandchildren?
you've got talented kids...I love playing spoons..haven't played since I was a teenager...
